The Kuala Lumpur office is the tech hub of MoneyLion, where we move fast and innovate constantly. We're looking for a Data Engineer Intern who’s excited about working with data and building scalable solutions. Kindly note that this internship is only open to Malaysian nationals , with final year students preferred.

• Assist in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.


• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver high-quality datasets.


• Help maintain data platforms and support data governance efforts by managing data access.


• Contribute to documentation and best practices for data engineering workflows.


• Learn and work with tools like Apache Airflow, Spark, AWS and SQL/NoSQL databases

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Understanding of database concepts, ETL pipelines and foundational data engineering principles.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably AWS), distributed computing (e.g. Spark) or orchestration (e.g. Airflow) is a plus.
• Has a deep sense of ownership towards professional development, day-to-day responsibilities, and self-learning.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
• Eager to learn quickly, stay curious, and adapt to new technologies with enthusiasm.
