Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment, including dozers, excavators, tractors with scrapers, off-road trucks, skid steers, and compactors on civil construction sites
• Utilize GPS equipment for precise operation and project execution
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and safety checks on assigned equipment
• Accurately complete equipment maintenance and inspection reports
• Work collaboratively with the civil crew to meet project deadlines and quality standards
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations at all times
• Adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities as project needs evolve
• Work extended hours during the civil construction season, with limited weekend work as required

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, tractors with scrapers, off-road trucks, skid steers, and compactors
• Familiarity with GPS equipment operation
• Ability to perform and document daily preventative maintenance
• Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures
• Ability to work extended hours during peak construction season
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to adapt to a variety of tasks and changing work assignments
• Ability to complete tasks within established deadlines while maintaining quality
• Previous commercial construction experience is a plus, but not required
• Valid driver’s license preferred
