What Inventory Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.
Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to support accurate documentation preferred.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Strong dedication to providing high-quality customer support.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (preferred).
Ability to be a strong team player, collaborating effectively while also working independently as needed.
Ability to stand, walk long distances, bend, and routinely lift or move products weighing up to 50 lbs.
Customer/vendor credentialing is required (this may include vaccinations). More details will be provided if you are selected for an interview
Responsibilities
Perform daily inventory management and replenishment of medical and surgical supplies across assigned locations.
Receive and verify incoming supply orders against shipment and receiving reports.
Utilize Pyxis and CIMs systems to restock inventory and conduct inventory tracking functions.
Maintain stock locations, including inventory rotation, expiration monitoring, product recall management, and overall organization and cleanliness.
Monitor inventory levels and respond with urgency to low stock or quality concerns.
Collaborate closely with clinical nurse managers, logistics teams, and nursing staff to support operational needs.
Safely lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull loads of up to 200 pounds.
Maintain flexibility to work overtime as needed, including on short notice.
